I’m about to chat with you about “Giambattista Tiepolo’s Christ’s Death”, an incredible 3 Oz Silver coin from the well-known “Masterpieces of Art” series.

This coin features the masterpiece by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo, Christ’s Death.
Tiepolo Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (March 5, 1696 – March 27, 1770), also known as Gianbattista or Giambattista Tiepolo, was an Italian painter and printmaker from the Republic of Venice.

The Reverse

The reverse of the coin shows the scene of the Crucifixion of Christ, surrounded by 16 beautiful Swarovski inserts. On top of the reverse, the inscription: “MASTERPIECES OF ART” – the name of the series. On the bottom part, the inscriptions: “2018” – the year of issue and “GIANDOMENICO TIEPOLO” – the name of the artist.

On the left part, we can notice a painter palette that is the symbol of the “Masterpieces of Art” series.

The Obverse

The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II” – the name of the Queen, “COOK ISLANDS” – the issuing country and “20 DOLLARS” – the face value.
