Hi dears, it’s Chiara, and welcome or welcome back to Power Coin’s blog!

AMMONITES

What Ammonites are?

Ammonoids are an extinct group of marine mollusk animals in the subclass Ammonoidea of the class Cephalopoda. These mollusks are more closely related to living coleoids (i.e., octopuses, squid, and cuttlefish) than they are to shelled nautiloids such as the living Nautilus species. The earliest ammonites appear during the Devonian, and the last species died out during the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event.

This coin is really amazing, so let’s stark to talk about it right now!

The Reverse

The reverse of the coin depicts the stunning view of a Gold Rose plated Ammonite over a beautiful and detailed stone background with smaller scattered fossils. On top of the reverse, the inscription: “AMMONOIDEA” – the name of the coin and the fossil. On the right, the inscription: “DEVONIAN PERIOD”. On the bottom, the inscriptions: “EVOLUTION OF LIFE” – the name of the series and “2018” – the year of issue.

Ammonite Obverse

The Obverse

Passing to the obverse we find the Mongolian Coat of Arms and the inscriptions: “MONGOLIA” – the issuing country, “1000g .999 SILVER” – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver and “20000 TOGROG” – the face value.

In my opinion, this coin is an extraordinary piece of Art that every coin collectors should have in their personal coin collection!

The mintage is extremely limited to only 99 pieces worldwide! I’m not joking, dears, and considering the fact that we are talking about a 1 Kg silver coin, it will be sold out very quickly!

Stay tuned!
