The reverse of the coin depicts Medusa, a tragic victim of divine punishment for a crime she did not commit. She is seen as a symbol of the unjust treatment of women in a patriarchal society, where they are often blamed and punished for the actions of men. On the obverse, a detail of the Medusa's snakes. In the center of the obverse, the Coat of Arms of Gabon, along with the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE GABONAISE" – the country of issue, "3000 FRANCS CFA" – the face value, "2025" – the year of issue, "3OZ" – the weight of the coin and "Ag999" – the fineness of the Silver.
