Description

The reverse of this Silver coin presents a deeply moving depiction of Saint Philip, captured in the final act of his martyrdom. Bound and crucified upside down, his body hangs with solemn grace, his muscles tense yet dignified, and his arms stretched wide in silent surrender. Every detail, from the expression of peace on his inverted face to the gentle folds of his garment, whispers of a man who chose faith over fear, sacrifice over safety, and love over life. The obverse of this Silver coin carries a symbol of hope: a basket overflowing with loaves of bread, flanked by two detailed fish. These elements evoke the miracles of Christ and the sacred mission of the apostles. On the obverse, also the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" – the issuing country, "2000 FRANCS CFA" – the face value, "2 oz Ag 999" – the weight of the coin and the fineness of Silver, and "2025" – the year of issue.
