The reverse of the coin depicts an incredible view of the face of the moon and its stunning impact craters with a beautiful meteorite on the middle. All around the reverse, the inscriptions: "FROM THE MOON TO THE EARTH", "2016" – the year of issue, "LUNAR METEORITE" – the name of the coin and "NWA 10546" – the registration number of the meteorite. The coin's design continues on the obverse that features the Burkina Faso Coat of Arms and the square shaped Nano Chip. All around the Coat, the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU BURKINA FASO" – the issue country and "1000 FRANCS CFA" – the face value.
