The reverse of the coin is designed as a sculpture and features a finely-detailed bust of Mother Teresa. She spent most of her life in Ireland and India, where she worked hard to maintain a religious congregation and charitable efforts in many places in the world. Mother Teresa heard the call of Jesus when she was on a train to Darjeeling that told her to leave the school she was working for and found a ministry. The obverse of the coin presents a beautiful design with a crucifix and two praying hands, along with the Coat of Arms of Chad and the inscriptions: "MOTHER TERESA 1910-1997", "2023" – the year of issue, "REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD" – the country of issue and "10000 FRANCS CFA" – the face value.
