The reverse of the coin depicts a scene recalling the event known as Snake Island Incident: on 24 February 2022, the Russian invasion of Ukraine starts taking place. The Russian Navy attacked Snake Island and captured it along with its entire garrison, beginning a military occupation of the island. The design with Ultra-High Reliefs depicts the scene with volume, offering a very a realistic image. On the reverse also the inscriptions: "SNAKE ISLAND INCIDENT" - the name of the coin and "UKRAINE WAR" - the name of the series. On the obverse, a Ukrainian soldier resisting the invasion, along with the inscriptions: "2000 FRANCS CFA" - the face value, "2023" - the year of issue and "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" - the issuing country.
