The reverse of the coin, crafted into a rectangular shape, is coloured also on all four sides to represent the spine and pages of the comic book Showcase 4 was a comic book published by DC Comics in 1956, showcasing the first appearance of the superhero Flash. The story followed the origin of police scientist Barry Allen, who was struck by lightning while working late in his lab. The lightning bolt infused him with superhuman speed and he became a crimefighter, using his powers to protect Central City under the guise of the Flash. The obverse of the coin depicts the Public Seal of Niue and the inscriptions: "FIVE DOLLARS" – the face value, "2023" – the year of issue and "2 oz 999 Fine Silver" - the weight along with the fineness of the Silver and "THE FLASH" - the name of the superhero.
