The reverse of the coin features a vibrant female skull adorned with traditional Dia de los Muertos face paint, including colorful floral and geometric designs, symbolizing the celebration of the Day of the Dead. At the bottom, the inscription: "DIA DE LOS MUERTOS 2023" – the name and year of the celebration. The obverse of the coin depicts another intricately designed female skull with blue and purple face paint, surrounded by pink and purple roses.
