The reverse of this Silver coin showcases a finely detailed, full-color depiction of the Santa Maria, its sails catching the wind as it journeys into history. At the bottom, the inscription: "SANTA MARIA" – the name of the coin. The obverse of this Silver coin depicts the American bald eagle with an oak branch in its talons. All around it, the inscriptions: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" - the issuing country, "1 OZ.
