The reverse of the coin features the Mexican Angel of Independence statue, over a background that depicts Jesús Malverde surrounded by money, drugs, bullet holes, and an AK-47. On top of the reverse, the inscriptions: "1 ONZA" – the weight of the coin, "PLATA PURA" – pure Silver, "2016" – the year of issue, "LEY" and ".999" – the fineness of the Silver.
