The stacker represents the Pieta in the Milan Duomo: a sculpture depicting the Virgin Mary holding the lifeless body of Jesus Christ after the crucifixion. It is a representation of the grief and mourning of a mother for her son. The word "pietà" comes from the Italian for "pity" or "compassion", and the sculpture is a symbol of the sorrow and suffering involved in Christ's sacrifice for the redemption of humankind. The reverse of the stacker is concave, while the obverse is convex. The stacker contains the inscription "Ag 999 2 oz" - the weight and fineness of the Silver.
