RAM OF THE 3RD CHAKRA Review: 2 Oz Silver Coin 5$ Solomon Islands 2022
RAM OF THE THIRD CHAKRA
Hello friends, Ilaria here, welcome back to Power Coin!
Today I would like to talk to you about "Ram of the Third Chakra," a new issue in the Chakra series designed by a very talented artist, Phil Lewis.
Phil LewisPhil Lewis is a Colorado based artist. His art is mostly influenced by nature, that he perceives and represents as an intricate combination of multiple shapes and vibrant colors. He approached the numismatic world after Drew Bloomberg from MTB Medals discovered one of Phil Lewis books in his daughter’s nursery. Drew was very impressed with Phil's artwork, and this is how Phil got into the world of collectible coins! |
Third Chakra: Why the Ram?The coin is produced by PAMP and comes in a lovely case with a preview of the coin and some information about it. I really like how the case opens. I believe they have also added a magnet at the end to keep the inside of the box in place. The Certificate of Autenticity is included with the coin, made with 2 oz of pure Silver. The collectible is shaped and is kept safe in a capsule, that is shaped as well. The design represents the third Chakra as perceived by the artist. I am trying to learn more about Chakras; what I know so far is that Chakras are energy centers in the human body, and when they are open and balanced, we become our best selves. The third chakra, also known as the Solar Plexus, is located in the stomach and is in charge of self-esteem and confidence. When this Chakra is open and balanced, we feel empowered and resolved, much like the ram, the animal chosen by Phil Lewis to represent this energy. |
The ReverseLooking at the design, we can see a variety of shapes. The ram's face is enclosed within a triangle, which is a symbol of the third Chakra as well as a symbol of power and strength. The coin's shape, a ten-petalled flower, is another symbol of the third Chakra, and the main color of this design is a vibrant yellow, which is also the color of the Solar Plexus. This means that the artist has done extensive research and internalization of the 7 Chakras philosophy to create this design. I really like the detail on the ram's corkscrew-shaped horns, the coloration is so detailed, and I like how the horns interact with the triangle and embrace it. |
The ObvserseThe obverse is common to the series and is just as intricate as the reverse. It has a variety of shapes, some spirals on the outer rim, and a mosaic pattern in the center with Queen Elizabeth II's effigy. Each coin is individually numbered from 1 to 1500, which is the mintage of this collectible. Are you excited to see Phil Lewis' representations of the other Chakras? I can’t wait to see them! Collect, Invest, Enjoy! |
