THE CHINESE NEW YEAR HAS JUST STARTED!

It is referred to as "Chinese" New Year because it marks the begin of a new year according to the traditional Chinese calendar; it is also known as "Lunar" New Year because it begins with the new moon that appears between January 21 and February 20.

In Chinese tradition, the New Year symbolizes the end of winter and the beginning of spring. Additionally, New Year brings a change in the Chinese Horoscope's ruling animal: the Water Tiger has now replaced the previous two years' strong metal elements of the Ox and the Rat.
