POWER COIN PICKED A MECHANICAL LADYBUG FOR THE SECOND COIN IN THE CLOCKWORK EVOLUTION SERIES

On today’s blog, I am going to talk about Power Coin’s newest release: Mechanical Ladybug.

CLOCKWORK EVOLUTION

Mechanical Ladybug is the second coin in the Clockwork Evolution series. Do you remember what the first release was? Yes, Mechanical Bee! Our Bee became pretty famous in the past years, it also won the third place in the “Unique Concept” Category at Coin Constellation 2021 and Ladybug has all the credentials to be a worthy successor!

The merging of organic and mechanical aspects in the portrayal of animals is the theme of this series. If you're wondering if the entire series will be about insects, the answer is... NO! Spoiler alert: we are already working on a new design for this series and it does not feature an insect, you will be surprised!

MECHANICAL LADYBUG

Mechanical Ladybug is a 3 Oz Silver coin with a diameter of 45 mm. The insect has bright red natural wings, revealing a complex system of gears, pistons and other mechanical parts. The ladybug is resting on a flower, which also has mechanical and natural components.

And now, are you ready for some technical features? The coin has Black Proof quality, it has a beautiful metallic coloration and presents an incredible Smartminting Ultra High Relief. All of the mechanical parts in High Relief are extremely detailed, even the smallest ones. Mechanical Ladybug also features an innovative multi-layers technique, meaning that the High Relief presents different levels: the first one is that of the flower, next is the inner body, then the wings and, finally, the head, which has the highest relief.

There are no inscriptions on the reverse of the coin, except for the year of release, "2021," on the right side.

OBVERSE AND PRESENTATION

Are you ready to see the obverse? It features an intricate mechanism with many details in High Relief. I really appreciate it when a coin's obverse has its own design: it demonstrates the extra effort that Power Coin puts into all of its projects. The coin is Mongolia legal tender and has a face value of 2000 Togrog.

The coin is housed in an attractive case with Power Coin logo engraved in a gear, recalling the theme of the series. The lid opens in two direction, revealing the coin, well protected in a capsule. A numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included, together with a themed box with Power Coin logo and the representation of mechanical parts.

The mintage is limited to only 999 pieces worldwide!
