In ancient Greek religion, Nike was the goddess who personified victory and her Roman equivalent was Victoria.
She was often described as the daughter of the Titan Pallas and the goddess Styx.
But why am I talking about Nike? Because of the marvelous coin that I’m about to introduce you: Victoria and Nike.

The Coin

This 2 Oz Silver coin is the first release of the new “Strong and Beautiful Goddesses” series and it’s dedicated to these two beautiful goddesses.

The Reverse

The reverse of the coin features the wonderful high relief image of the goddesses Victoria and Nike with beautiful selective gildings.
Nike is holding a wonderful long gilded feather, while Victoria is holding a beautiful gilded Laurel crown.
On the top of the reverse, the inscription: “Victoria and Nike” – the name of the coin.

The Obverse

The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II” – the name of the Queen, “NIUE” – the issuing country, “2018” – the year of issue and “5 DOLLARS” – the face value.
