Who was Stan Lee?

Stanley Lieber was just seventeen when he got his first job at Timely Comics in 1939. Since then, the man now known as Stan Lee has launched a comic book empire, made Marvel Comics a household name, and created iconic superheroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four. 

"Comic book should be written as one word. So from now on, I want you to remember that," he said in a 2012 YouTube video. "They are not funny books. They are not comic books, they are comicbooks! Remember that, or incur my wrath."

The Coin

The reverse of the coin shows a jumping Spiderman with an incredible action pose over a spider web background. On the top of the reverse, the inscription: “SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING”, the name of the coin.
On the bottom part, the inscriptions: “1oz .999 FINE GOLD”, the weight of the coin and the purity of the Gold, “MARVEL”, the American publisher of comic books and “2017”, the release year of the film.
The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II”, the name of the Queen, “200 DOLLARS”, the face value, “COOK ISLANDS”, the issuing country and “2017”, the year of issue.

This Gold Coin has a Proof quality, it comes in a red core grading holder and it has a NGC grading with a quality of 140.
Another surprising thing for this incredible coin is the fact that it has a limited mintage of only 250 pieces worldwide and includes a limited amount of certificates of authenticity signed by the Spider-Man maker himself, the well-known Stan Lee.
