The reverse of the coin features the incredible image of a Long-Eared Jerboa with a beautiful purple Swarovski crystal to reproduce the eye of the animal. On the top of the reverse, the inscriptions: "WILDLIFE PROTECTION" and "GOBI DESERT ALIVE". On the bottom, the inscriptions: "Euchoreutes naso" – the name of the animal and "2006" – the year of issue. The obverse of the coin features the Mongolian Coat of Arms and the inscriptions: "500 TOGROG" – the face value, "MONGOLIA" – the issuing country and "25 gr 925 SILVER" – the weight and fineness of the Silver.
