BERLIN WALL 20th Anniversary Fall Silver Coin 5$ Palau 2009

The coin's reverse portrays a particular representation of the Brandenburg Gate, symbol of Germany, divided into two parts like Berlin 20 years ago: the left or western side is gray and lifeless, the right or eastern part colorful and full of life. The design also includes the inscription FALL OF THE WALL which is an obvious symbol of the fall of the wall. Around the coin there is the inscription: "Berlin's wall was torn down during the night of Thursday 9th November 1989, leading to hopeful thoughts throughout the whole world, and to a new era of confidence, that everything can change, not only in Berlin." The coin, which is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Republic of Palau, portrays the Palau Coat of Arms.
