Description

The reverse of the coin features a strange shape to honors a very revolutionary invention in the fish industry. This coin replicates the unique shape of the spoon with an hook to create a fishing lure. On the top of the reverse, the inscription: "LEGENDARY LURE" and on the bottom of the reverse the inscription: "THE BUEL SPOON" – the nam of the coin. In the center of the reverse the face of the lure's inventor with the inscription: "JULIO T. BUEL" – his name. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen, "COOK ISLANDS" - the issuing country, "20 DOLLARS" - the face value and "1/2 Oz Au.9999" the weight and fineness of the Gold.
