The reverse of the coin captures the architecture of the famous Karakorum, the capital of the Mongol Empire between 1235 and 1260. On the reverse, the inscriptions: "800" - the years of the Anniversary, "KARAKORUM" - the name of the coin and "1220/2020" - the actual foundation of a city and the year in which the 800th Anniversary is celebrated. The obverse of the coin features the Mongolian Coat of Arms and the inscriptions: "5000 TOGROG" – the face value, "MONGOLIA" – the issuing country and "2 OZ .999 SILVER" – the weight and fineness of the Silver.
