JAN BLAZEJ SANTINI AICHEL 1/2 Oz Gold Medal 2023

The reverse of the medal features the Church of St. John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Santini-Aichel is considered one of the leading figures of late Gothic Baroque style, and his work has influenced many subsequent architects. He is known for his work in the field of Baroque architecture, designing numerous buildings in the Bohemian region, particularly churches and monasteries. On the reverse, the inscription: "CESKA REPUBLIKA" - the country issue. On the of the obverse the inscription: "1723-2023" – the anniversary of his death and "Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel" - the name of the coin.
