The first coin reverse shows Gandhi on January 1915, when he and his wife arrived in India. On the coin is the inscription "Be the change that you wish to see in the world".
The second coin reverse shows Gandhi on September 1920, when he organised the Non-cooperation movement in India. On the coin is the inscription "Hate the sin, love the sinner".
The third coin revers shows Gandhi on March 1930, when he began a long march to the Arabian Sea in protest of the British enforced Salt Tax. On the coin is the inscription "In a gentle way you can shake the world".
The fourth coin reverse shows Gandhi on 1942, when he and the Congress, denounced Nazism but were arrested. On the coin is the inscription "The future depends on what you do today".
The fifth coin reverse shows Gandhi on 1974, when India became free from British rule. On the coin is the inscription "My life is my message".
The coin's obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
