ARCHIMEDES SCREW Silver Coin 10€ Euro Greece 2024

The reverse of the coin shows the archimedes' screw, a very simple yet functional design of the ancient greek times. Archimedes' screw is a brilliant device used for raising and transporting water. In greek, on the left side, the inscriptions: "ΑΡΧΑΙΑ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΤΕΧΝΟΛΟΓΙΑ" - which translates to "Ancient Greek Technology, on the right side: "Ο ΚΟΣΜΟΣ ΤΟΥ ΑΡΧΙΜΗΔΗ" - which means "The World of Archimedes." The obverse of the coin shows the Coat of Arms of Greece, over a very sophisticated design reporting shapes and geometrical patterns. In the center of the obverse also the inscription: "ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΉ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΊΑ" - the issuing country and "10 ΕΥΡΩ" - the face value.
