Description

The reverse of the coin depicts an amazing Gold-plated Maid Marian in the Sherwood Forest, looking furtively through the trees, with a bow and quiver of arrows on her back. All around the reverse, the inscriptions: "MAID MARIAN " – the name of the coin, "1 OZ" - the weight of the coin, "FINE SILVER 999.9" - the fineness of silver and "2022" - the year of issue. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "2 POUNDS" - the face value, "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen and "D-G-REG-F-D" - the Latin acronym standing for: Dei Gratia Regina Fidei Defensor.
