The reverse of the coin shows a beautiful geometric design intending to represent the concept of proceeding upward. The lines of the design are like steps where the final one is gilded in Gold to symbolize the arrival, the upper and final step. On the reverse, the inscription: "2022" - the issuing year. The obverse is entirely plated in Gold with the inscriptions: "LATVIJAS BANKA" - the name of the central bank of the Republic of Latvia responsible for monetary policy formulation and implementation and "5 EURO" - the face value.
