The reverse of the coin shows Veza Canetti, was a writer and a translator. Born Venetiana Tauber-Calderon in Vienna, the wife of Nobel Prize winner and writer Elias Canetti became particularly well known for her stories about social problems and violence published in newspapers, some of which are autobiographical. The motive features a depiction of Veza Canetti in profile, framed by the inscriptions: "VEZA CANETTI" - the name of the coin, "REPUBLIK OSTERREICH" - the issuing country, "50 EURO" - the face value and "2024" – the year of issue. The obverse shows fictitious portraits of Veza and Elias Canetti and emphasizes the role of Veza Canetti in the background.
