Description

The reverse of the coin shows the portrait of Margarita Salas Falgueras, known for her groundbreaking work on DNA replication and repair mechanisms, as well as her contributions to the study of bacteriophages. For the great woman she was, on this coin she is also representing the International Women's Day, honoring the contribution of women in the world. On the design, the inscriptions: "10 EURO" - the face value, "8-M DIA INTERNACIONAL DE LA MUJER" - the commemorated event. On the obverse, the Effigy of the King of Spain, along with the inscriptions: "FELIPE VI REY DE ESPAÑA" - the name of the King and "2024" - the year of issue.
