The reverse of this Silver coin depicts King Alaric and the Visigoths falling upon Rome, almost like a divine retribution, as well as the carnage caused by the barbarians. On the reverse, also the inscriptions: "The Sack of Rome 410 A.D." – the historic event. The obverse of this Silver coin shows a deteriorating laurel wreath along with a Roman officer helmet pierced by arrows. On the obverse, also the inscriptions: "LIBERIA" - the issuing country, "five dollars" - the face value, and a popular quote of St. Jeromes.
