The reverse of the medal shows the beautiful portrait of Gustav Klimt, along with a delicate representation of a female figure coming from the painting Expectation. On the reverse of the medal also the inscriptions: "1 oz" - the wieght of the medal and "Gustav Klimt" - the artist. On the obverse of the medal, the signature of Klimt and one of his famouse quotes: "ART IS A LINE AROUND THOUGHT" - suggesting that art is a way to visually represent a human thoughts and ideas, just as a line can surround and define the shape of an object in a drawing.
