In the central part of the obverse coin's are a paintinig by "Francisco Goya" the "Woman with an Umbrella" from 1777 depicted using the pad printing tecnique. Below it the inscription Niue Island and issue year. To the left of the painting the effigy of her majesty Queen Elisabeth II with the mint's mark (M/W). In the upper left corner of the coin the nominal value. In the central part of the reverse coin's are a painting by "Francisco Goya" a "Clothed Maja" from 1805 depicted using the pad printing tecnique. On the rigth side an images of the artist, taken from "Self-portrait with Top Hat", opening the "Caprices" series from 1799. Next to it on the left side a stylized inscription: Francisco Goya. At the bottom of the coin an inscription 1746 - 1828 (the artist's birth and death dates).
