The reverse of the first coin in this set depicts Te Hau Rāwhiti, the wind that blows from the east, features three colours represent the rising sun. The reverse of the second coin depicts Te Hau Tonga, the southerly wind, brings rain, chill and cold weather. The reverse of the third coin depicts e Hau-ā-uru, the westerly, is the prevailing wind in Aotearoa New Zealand. The reverse of the fourth coin features Te Hau Raki is the warm wind that blows from the north. Colour printing is used to highlight the temperature and nature of each wind and the rim of each coin is polished. On top of the reverse of all the coins, the inscription: "NGA HAU E WHA THE FOUR WINDS"- the name of the Set and on the bottom, the inscription: "ONE DOLLAR" – the face value. Each coin around the reverse has the New Zealand name for each wind. The obverse of all the coins depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "NEW ZEALAND" – the issue country, "2020" – the year of issue and "999 Ag. 0.5 Oz" the fineness and the weight of the Silver.
