The reverse of the coin depicts Bastet, the goddess who protected the faithful from evil spirits and disease. She is depicted as a seated black cat in the style of ancient Egypt, used for many funerary sculptures. It is richly coloured in black with some gold plated details and a little colour, to replicate the appearance of precious minerals. The reverse is filled with elements of Egyptian culture, architecture and features the inscriptions: "EGYPTIAN SYMBOLS II" - the name of the series, "BASTET" - the name of the coin and "2021" - the year of issue. The obverse is a selection of architectural monuments of the civilisation, with the Great Pyramids, Abu Simbel and the Sphinx as the most recognisable elements, along with the Coat of Arms of Palau. All around, the inscriptions: "EGYPTIAN SYMBOLS II" - the name of the series, "BASTET" - the name of the coin, "2021" - the year of issue and "20 DOLLARS" - the face value.
