Description

The reverse of the coin depicts a beautiful image of Helios riding a horse wagon drawn by horses. In Greek mythology, Helios was personified with the Sun, the omniscient source of life-giving force. He is represented as a beautiful young man with a crown on his head and has become a symbol of truth, goodness, wisdom, peace, and joy. At the top of the reverse, the inscription: "HELIOS" – the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "NIUE ISLAND" – the country of issue, "1 DOLLAR" – the face value and "2022" – the year of issue.
