The reverse of each coin shows one part of the whole nativity of Jesus as described in the biblical gospels of Luke and Matthew. There are 12 coins in total. The design is completed by a medal at the center of the puzzle, depicting Mary with baby Jesus, surrounded by the inscriptions: "Nativity of Jesus Christ" and "Our Lady holding the Divine Infant". The obverse of each coin features the Coat of Arms of Fiji and the inscriptions: "FIJI 2022" – the country and the year of issue and "HALF DOLLAR" – the face value.
