Each coin of this set depicts one of the most famous characters from "The Lord of the Rings" movies: Frodo, Legolas, Gollum, Gandalf, Samwise, Pippin and Merry, Arwen, Bilbo, Gimli, Galadriel, Aragorn and Boromir. The designs also include the name of the characters and the inscription: "THE LORD OF THE RINGS" at the bottom. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "COOK ISLANDS" - the country of issue, "1/2 DOLLAR" – the face value, "2023" – the year of issue and "2.5g FINE SILVER .999" – the weight of the coin and fineness of Silver.
