The reverse of the coin depicts a beautiful image of a Lion, roaring, over a fully Gilded background. The gold-plated background features a decoration made of floral and arabesque elements around the central figure. At the bottom of the reverse, the inscription: "ONE TROY OUNCE" – the weight of the coin and ".9999 FINE SILVER" – the fineness of the Silver. The obverse of the coin depicts the Public Seal of Niue and the inscriptions: "TWO DOLLARS" - the face value and "2023" – the year of issue.
