The reverse of the coin depicts the Yin-Yang, a symbol of harmony sprouting from Asian tradition and philosophy. They describe the two fundamental opposing and complementary forces found in all things: yin is the beginning of night, Moon is passivity, absorption. Yang is the principle of Sun, day, light and activity. The whole symbol then represents the relationship between our selves and the great vastness beyond. The design also incorporates the inscriptions: "EQUILIBRIUM" – the name of the coin and "5 DOLLARS" – the face value of the coin. The obverse of the coin features the Effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen, "TOKELAU" - the country of issue, "2022" - the year of issue and "1 OZ FINE SILVER 9999" – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver.
