The reverse of the coins features five bats surrounding four peaches in the center. On the left of the reverse of both coins, the inscription: "五福拱寿" – the name of the coin, literally meaning five happiness surrounding longevity (Wu Fu Gong Shu). On the bottom of the Silver coin, the inscription: "10元" – the face value and on the Gold coin, the inscription: "100元". In Chinese, "happiness" and "bat" are of the same pronunciation; therefore, bats have been seen as symbol of good fortune. The obverse of the coin depicts the Coat of Arms of China and the inscriptions: "中华人民共和国" – the issue country and "2016" – the year of issue.
