WOLF in the Eyes of the Glow in the Dark Silver Coin 15$ Canada 2017

The reverse of the coin by Canadian artist Curtis Atwater presents the close-up portrait of a Wolf and features complex engraving that adds textural detail. Special emphasis is placed on the wolf's eyes, where an enamel effect mimics the glossy look of a traditional paint application, but with far more colour variances that give the amber-coloured eyes convey the wolf's intelligence and strength. They are further enhanced by glow-in-the-dark technology that adds a luminous intensity to the piercing gaze, which mimics the naturally luminous effect of the nocturnal hunter's stare during a rare nighttime encounter. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "CANADA" – the issue country, "2017" – the year of issue, "D·G·REGINA" – Dei Gratia Regina, "15 DOLLARS" – the face value and "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen.
