HEARTS AGLOW Maple Leaf Glow in the Dark Silver Coin 5$ Canada 2018

The reverse of the coin designed by Royal Canadian Mint engraver, José Osio. A finely engraved mix of different-sized maple leaves fills the field and conveys a sense of spirited celebration behind the large, red-coloured maple leaf that is at the heart of the design. The reverse is transformed in the dark, where photo-luminescent technology adds a backlit effect to the prominent maple leaf and a bright green glow to select leaves that surround it. The obverse depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "CANADA" – the issuing country, "2018" – the issue date, "D.G. REGINA" and "5 DOLLARS" – the face value.
