HOKUSAI THE GREAT WAVE Kanagawa 1 Oz Proof Silver Coin 1$ Fiji 2017

The coin's reverse depicts an enormous wave threatening boats off the coast of the prefecture of Kanagawa. While sometimes assumed to be a tsunami, the wave is, as the coin's title suggests, more likely to be a large rogue wave. It depicts the area around Mount Fuji under particular conditions, and the mountain itself appears in the background. On the top of the reverse, the inscription: "Hokusai" – the name of the artist, "The Great Wave" – the name of the coin and "1 Oz 999 Silver" – the weight and the Silver fineness. The obverse of the coin depicts the Coat of Arms of Fiji, the issue year: "2017" and the face value "1 Dollar".
