Did you know that this year the credit card is going to be 70 years old? The first credit card appeared in 1950 and today most people use one of the myriad credit cards at least once a month.

Nowadays we use credit cards to buy everything, it's more useful than cash. Paying by credit card usually offers you immediate access to the products you purchased and a security on the purchase that cash doesn't offer you, so everybody loves credit card.

Power Coin, always at the forefront in the numismatic world, celebrates this important Credit Card Birthday with a special issue with a limited mintage: only 100 pieces worldwide. This is not a coin with a Credit Card picture, this is a coin that imitates an actual Credit Card, designed right down to the last detail.

On the reverse of the coin, there are familiar credit cards elements: an imitation of the classic microchip and the 16-digit number.

Also on the reverse, rather than a bank logo, we can find the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "NIUE ISLAND", "2020" and "2 DOLLARS". On the right side of the reverse, there is the Power Coin company logo.

Even on the obverse of the coin, we can find other well-known and common elements with a credit card: the large magnetic strip, a security code and a signature bar for the card holder's signature.

On the top of the obverse, the inscriptions: "70 YEARS OF CREDIT CARD" - the name of the coin and "1950-2020" - the date of the Credit card first appearance and the date of its 70th birthday.

The 16-digit number is minted embossed on one side and engraved on the other, exactly like a real card. The first 4 numbers represent the year of the credit cards first appearance, the following 4 numbers represent the year of issue, the successive 4 numbers represent the 70th Credit Card Anniversary and the last 4 numbers stand for the mintage of the original coin.
