Starting a new week can be tough, so I though I would make your day a little better with our new “Collection Monday”.

Every Monday I will present you a selection of coins from the same series or linked to the same theme. You can vote your favorite coin on our IG or Fb stories, or by writing a comment here on our Blog or on YouTube.

This week I chose to present you the “Wild Afrika” series.

How many of you live or have been to Africa? I have never been there, but I would love to! However, I would not be thrilled to be around some of the animals that live there, like the ones presented in this series.

This is the reason why I am happy to look them straight in the eyes on coins only! Yep, because the coins in this series feature some incredible closeups of African wild animals’ eyes.

The first coin in this collection depicts the eye of a Green Mamba snake, one of the most venomous snakes in the world!

Green Mambas can be up to 7 feet long and their venom kills their victim within minutes! Green Mambas have a vibrant green coloration, just like the first issue in this series.

The coin features a special UV coating and a convex mini relief, contributing in making the eye look realistic.

The newest issue in this collection features the eye of the mysterious satanic leaf-tailed gecko, a species of gecko indigenous to the island of Madagascar.

This lizard literally takes the idea of camouflage to the next level! With a total length of only 9 cm, it is almost invisible when hidden in dead leaves.

He rests during the day and becomes active only at night, when he goes hunting.

This coin features a special UV coating technology and a mini relief that makes the gecko seem he is looking directly at you!
