Power Coin new 3 Oz Silver coin honors the legendary Paladin Panda, a well-known figure who has recently appeared in NFT art and video games, and celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the first China Panda coin, which was launched in 1982.

Although the coin is based on a numismatics classic, Power Coin applied its own unique spin to the design, making the coin technically challenging and full of intricate features. The coin undoubtedly stand out thanks to its stunning Ultra High Relief on both the obverse and the reverse, as well as its Black Proof finish and partial Gold plating, which gives it an extra touch of distinction.

PALADIN PANDA: REVERSE

The Paladin Panda is beautifully depicted in Smartminting Ultra High Relief on the coin's reverse. The warrior is donning the traditional armor, enhanced by a 24k Gold plating and a fine relief texture. The armour also features the head of a dragon and a Panda.

The small panda on the armour is pretty famous, did you recognize it? It is the same panda depicted on the now iconic Gold Panda bullion issued in 1982, a neat nod to the subject of the commemoration.

The reverse also features a partial coloration: the paws and ears of the Paladin Panda are black, the face is obviously black and white.

The animal is holding a sword and a stick, and based on its posture and intimidating attitude, it appears to be getting ready to strike.

The background features the Great Wall of China, depicted in Relief.

The reverse also includes some inscriptions: “PALADIN PANDA” – the name of the coin, “1982” – the year when the first China Panda coin was released and “2022” – the year of issue of the coin.

PALADIN PANDA: OBVERSE

The obverse of the coin is not less detailed than the reverse and is also inspired by the original China Panda coin. It depicts a motif often found on Chinese numismatics: the Temple of Heaven, the most beautiful imperial complex of religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Peking, the capital of China. The Temple is depicted in Ultra-High Relief and exhibits a lot of fine detail. The obvserse is embellished with a pair of dragons, symbolizing good luck, strength, health and also the male element Yang.

In line with the Asian belief that 8 is a lucky number, the coin has a mintage of 888 pieces. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is housed in a display case.
