The Dresden Green is a rare Type IIa, with a clarity of VS1 and it is said to be potentially internallyIt is named after Dresden, the capital of Saxony, Germany where it has been on display for most of the last two centuries. This beautiful 2 Oz Silver coin is the third release in the “Most Famous Diamonds” series and, as I said before, it is dedicated to the largest green diamond in the world the Dresden Green Diamond.
The ReverseI know perfectly what is the first thing that attracts your attention, this beautiful green crystal representing the Dresden Green Diamond in the center of the coin. The reverse also depicts the King Augustus III of Poland, the owner of the Dresden Green Diamond that is represented on the middle of the coin by a beautiful green crystal. On top of the reverse, the inscriptions: “MOST FAMOUS DIAMONDS” – the name of the series and “DRESDEN GREEN DIAMOND” – the name of the coin. On the bottom, the inscription: “40.7 CARATS” – the weight of the original diamond. On the left, the inscription: “2017” – the year of issue. |
