PIRATE SKULL REVIEW - 1 Oz Silver Coin - Palau 2017

I have to confess you that when I was I child I wanted to be a pirate…for many reasons!
First of all, because I like adventures and the sea, also because I think that looking for some precious treasures all over the world is a great way to spend our life and grow up…. Rum also became a great reason to love the Pirate's lifestyle! 

Are there still pirates that roam the seas today?

While piracy in the 17th and 18th centuries might have been about pulling trade goods off of ships, piracy today is about holding those ships hostage until their owners cough up a ransom.
Sometimes this involves trade ships (often oil tankers) and corporate owners, sometimes yachts and individuals' family members.
Not the way that Blackbeard did, but generally speaking, yes. Piracy is still a problem, and it probably always will be as long as there are poor marginalized people living on coasts with access to guns and boats.

So, I guess you’ve got it: I love Pirate’s world! And so, I’m really in love with the coin that I’m about to introduce to you: PIRATE SKULL.

The Reverse

This wonderful 1 Oz Silver coin, not only does it depict an incredible Pirate Skull, but it is fully shaped and detailed to obtain a realistic look! The reverse of this coin is shaped like what it seems to be a remain of a Pirate’s head.
The bandana on the skull’s forehead suggests that he could have been a very fearsome Pirate when in life.
